Everything You Need to Know
PLANNING CENTER RESOURCES APP
You’ll want to have the Planning Center App on your phone, as well as the Planning Center Resources App. This is a separate app specifically for listing out which band will be taking what gear. Make sure and check the Resources app as you’re loading the van so that you grab the right gear for the gig.
LOADING GEAR
The gear lives in a storage unit at
2581 E Colorado Blvd
Pasadena, CA 91107
Unit 110
The gate code is *1034302#
The day of the gig, you’ll meet the Band Leader for your gig at the storage unit to load gear. You can park anywhere in that parking lot. The Band Leader will have keys to the storage unit. Once you’ve done enough Downbeat gigs, you may get your own copy as well. Make sure and double check with the Band Leader to make sure one of you has storage keys.
All the gear you need to bring will be listed in the Resources app, as well as which vehicle you’ll need to take. The keys for the white Chevy Van and the silver Mercedes Sprinter are hanging near the front of the storage unit. The vehicles are on the premises once you get into the gate.
If you need to get gas while you’re out on the gig, take a picture of your receipt and email it to booking@downbeat.la.
The Chevy Van takes regular gas.
The Mercedes Sprinter takes Diesel.
At the end of the night, you’ll return the gear and van with the Band Leader, lock the storage unit, and you’re all set.
DRESS
Wear nice all black. Black slacks, a button up, and black dress shoes. You don’t need a tie
MIXER APPS
The sound boards we use are Behringer Wing wireless boards. Download Co-Pilot app or Mixing Station on your iPad. Downbeat cannot provide iPads for everyone, so you will need to bring your own. Watch video below on how to use the board:
